Nord-du-Québec - Via Capitale

The region in short…

Northern Quebec is the largest administrative region of Quebec. This region alone accounts for 55% of Quebec's total surface area. The administrative region of Northern Quebec is divided into two parts:

The southern part: Eeyou Istchee James Bay and its four cities (Chibougamau, Chapais, Lebel-sur-Quévillon and Matagami, as well as the municipality of Eeyou Istchee James Bay Territory).

The northern part: Kativik (Kuujjuaq) regional administration.

Only 0.5% of Quebec's population lives there, or about 40,000 people. Aboriginal people (Cree and Inuit) together make up 60% of the population, while non-Aboriginal Quebecers make up 40% of the population.

You can buy a property in the Gaspé region’s cities and towns, and Via Capitale offers many choices. When you buy a property in the Gaspé region through a Via Capitale broker, the Via Capitale broker will offer you the benefits of the Via Capitale protections program. This protection for mortgage payments, plumbing, electricity and heating are reassuring when you settle in a new home.

The northern skies will dazzle you, the Milky Way extending as far as the eye can see. You may even have the chance to witness the celestial dance of an aurora borealis!

Winters are long, the landscapes are an immaculate white. The warm summer evenings, however, last long past sunset.
